Construction works on Menen Grensland wind farm started

Electrawinds has started the construction works of a new wind farm in the Grensland industrial zone in Menen, Belgium. This involves a project of two turbines on the business premises of NV Roussel and NV Galloo. The new wind farm should be in operation by the end of 2012. 

Electrawinds supports Paralympic athlete Sven Decaesstecker

Electrawinds supports the West-Flemish top swimmer Sven Decaesstecker in his participation in the Paralympic Games at the end of August. The European record holder of the 200- and 400-metre medley is one of those likely to win an Olympic medal.

Electrawinds honoured twice for Sustainable Entrepreneurship in West Flanders

50 West-Flemish companies receive the 2012 annual certificate for the West Flemish Charter Sustainable Entrepreneurship.  Two departments of the green energy company Electrawinds are prize winners once again. Both the head office (John Cordierlaan 9 in Ostend, Belgium) and the Biosteam Plant (Solvaylaan 7 in Ostend, Belgium) have renewed the annual certificate.

Inauguration rest and enquiries pit stop at Berlare Wind Farm, Belgium

The Berlare Municipality and the Belgian green energy company, Electrawinds, opened a rest and enquiries pit stop on a square at the new wind turbine farm in Overmere. Electrawinds also put up information signs on the wind turbine park in addition to a bench for cyclists and walkers to take a rest.

Electrawinds HQ will remain open during the summer holiday

During the months of July and August Electrawinds HQ will remain open. However, on Wednesday August 15 there will be a collective closing day due to an official holiday.
